Description

Model building sheet in a scale of 1:160
The artist Albrecht Dürer's house was built around 1420 and stands below Nuremberg Castle. Dürer purchased it on June 14, 1509 for 275 guilders, which he put on the table in cash. He lived there until his death in 1528 and created his most important works there. On the occasion of Dürer's 500th birthday in 1971, the house was designed as a museum. It has been part of the museums of the city of Nuremberg since 1994. Attractions include a multi-vision show, guided tours in historical costumes and a painting studio where various techniques are demonstrated.
